As part of the 21st Century Community Learning Center’s program, the Lea County Commission for the Arts will be hosting free afterschool art classes at the Lea County Center for the Arts. Classes will take place from 3-6pm at the Center on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and occasional Fridays for thirty weeks.
21st CCLC afterschool classes at the Center are open to students from Edison and Will Rogers Elementary and include art classes, ranging from painting, drawing, sculpture, jewelry-making, mural painting and theater to free healthy snacks, tutoring, hooping and Zumba classes. Classes will include final culminating events and projects from completed student murals to jewelry fashion shows, theater productions, adult workshops and more!
Eligible students from Edison and Will Rogers Elementary must register at their home school site in order to participate. Classes are free. However, space is limited. Please click below to download the registration form. Forms are also available within each eligible school’s principal’s office, at the Center for the Arts, located on 122 W Broadway.
